From Safe Haven to Growing Impact: The Journey of TGAF

Every meaningful journey begins with a need. For The Grace Abound for Women Foundation (TGAF), that need was simple but urgent to create a safe haven for women in distress. What started as a community group became a space where women could be heard, supported, and reminded that they were not alone.

TGAF was not built on structure first. It was built on community, on listening, on showing up, and on creating a place where women could begin again.

Growing Into Impact

As the community grew, so did the work. TGAF evolved from a support system into a platform for intentional impact, through initiatives such as:

Voices of Strength — creating safe spaces for women to share their stories and find healing through connection

Scholarship support — opening doors to education and opportunity for young women

Hand of Grace Initiative — empowering market women with tools for economic growth and stability

At the heart of it all is a simple belief: Community is powerful, and when women are supported within it, transformation becomes possible.

A Moment of Recognition

This journey recently reached a meaningful milestone with the recognition of our Founder through the SARA Gives to EmpowerHER Award by Wema Bank.

The opportunity was brought to our attention by a member of our leadership team, and it quickly became clear that this was more than just recognition.

It was a reflection of:

The lives that have been touched

The stories that have been shared

The consistency of the work done over time

It affirmed not only how far TGAF has come, but also how much more is possible.

A New Chapter

This recognition marks the beginning of a new phase for TGAF.

As we continue to grow, our focus is on strengthening our structure, deepening our impact, and creating more sustainable systems that allow us to reach even more women.

We remain committed to building a space where women are not only supported, but empowered to grow, lead, and thrive.

Be Part of the Journey

TGAF is built by people, and there is always room to be part of the work we are doing.

Through partnership, volunteering, or support, you can help us continue to create impact and strengthen communities.

Because when women are supported,

communities are strengthened and lasting change becomes possible.

Every meaningful journey begins with a need.

For The Grace Abound Foundation (TGAF), that need was simple but urgent to create a safe haven for women in distress. What started as a community group became a space where women could be heard, supported, and reminded that they were not alone.

TGAF was not built on structure first.

It was built on community, on listening, on showing up, and on creating a place where women could begin again.

Join us in making more impact, empowering more women, building stronger families and communities.
